The arrival of a new family member is always a joyous occasion! One way to celebrate and commemorate this momentous event is to commission a custom piece of art in honour of the new arrival.

This was the reason behind one of the recent artworks I realised a commission for.
A lovely couple contacted me to add some artwork to their home, not only to make it more stylish but also to represent the arrival of a new family member.
This is a unique and meaningful way to commemorate the birth of a child, and it will be a cherished heirloom for future generations.

The first step of the process was to discuss together with the couple their ideas on the artwork they had in mind. They liked the style of my work, in particular my cactus art. They invited me to their home to show me where they wanted to position the art piece and therefore to bring it to life, according to their style and ideas for colours. I then measured the perfect fit dimension for the canvas, and then I got to work!

I realised this particular art piece by creating a cactus land background with colourful flowers matching the nuances of nighttime.
Warm colours surround the figure of a bird relaxing on a cactus while laying under clothes hanging and a baby suit displaying the name of the newborn.

A new baby is a reason for celebration, and what better way to commemorate this happy occasion than with a custom piece of art?
